this one set me free, found it on the forest floor. it’s a slightly different mix than the LP version with a positive bris in the arrangement. this one fades out and ends with some 70’s canterbury meets wasteland basement analog synth vibes where the album version has the party people energy/ambience of the studio left in. during a deep listening session i felt the festive mood segued better into “sweet chump change” on the record and that kind of audio verité is a mojo i like to preserve on the C.O.M. releases. this VERSION sounds cool to me too, has a feel. it just came to me, poured out as lava from blake relief. leave my friends behind before they let me down again…walked away from love to find this. mick flower & doc dunn sing with me. they are my people. i love their music & vibe. i play everything else. in a way it’s about a power vision to get away from suffering. what is it without a struggle? probably nice i reckon.
